We can also file & process your application for you for a fee. However, you can also fill out and submit your application for free (excluding embassy fees), by visiting the Uganda Embassy website. Please note that we have no affiliation with any government embassy or agency.

Uganda Tourist Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport.  Your passport must be valid past the date of your expected departure from Uganda, and have a blank page available.
  • Uganda Visa Application Form – Must be filled out completed online.  Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Uganda Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website.  The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. All applications must be submitted online, paper applications will not be processed and will result in delays.
  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide two color, passport size photos.  The photographs must be printed on photo paper,  must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  • An international Inoculation Certificate against yellow fever.
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

Uganda Business Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport.  Your passport must be valid past the date of your expected departure from Uganda, and have a blank page available.

  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.

  • A business letter of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Uganda clearly stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Uganda you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses.  Click here to see a sample business letter.
  • An international Inoculation Certificate against yellow fever.
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

Uganda Consular Fees:

  • Single Entry, valid for three months from the date of arrival: $50
  • Multiple entries, valid for six months from the date of arrival: $100
  • East Africa Tourist Visa: $100
  • Government Official & Diplomatic Visa: no fee
  • Expedited service fee: $30 additional per application

Additional Information:

Travel Information

  • Passport required.  Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival.
  • Visa Issuance.  Visa required, except for Holders of normal passports issued to nationals of USA can be obtain a visa on arrival.  Fee:  $50
  • Additional Information – Visitors are required to provide: contact details of a person or organization in Uganda and an address and phone number of the place of stay in Uganda; proof of the purpose of stay and sufficient funds to cover their stay; documents required for their next destination.

Warning:  Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.

Health Information

Vaccinations not required.

Recommended:

  • Malaria prophylaxis. Malaria risk – mainly in the malignant (P. falciparum) form – exists throughout the year in the whole country including the main towns of Fort Portal, Jinja, Kampala, Kigezi and Mbale.  Resistance to chloroquine and sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine reported. Recommended prevention:IV.

Vaccinations:
