For a U.S. citizen requesting a Taiwan Visa, we will need the following (if you are not a U.S. citizen, click here – VISA INFO to find the proper requirements):

Taiwan Tourist Visa Documents:

*US Citizens with a valid passport may visit Taiwan without a visa for up to thirty days (or for business trips up to 14 days) if they have a confirmed return or onward air ticket.  If you are staying over 30 days and need a Tourist Visa, we will need the following:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  • Taiwan Visa Application Form – Please provide a completed visa application form; click here for a .pdf of the application. Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Taiwan Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website. The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide 2 (two) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  • Letter addressed to the Embassy of Taiwan stating the purpose of your visit, details of your intended activities, accommodation information, contact information, and your dates of travel.
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.
  • Proof of sufficient funds (a copy of your recent bank statement or a letter from your bank).

Taiwan Business Visa Documents:

*US Citizens with a valid passport may visit Taiwan without a visa for up to thirty days (or for business trips up to 14 days) if they have a confirmed return or onward air ticket.  If you are staying over 14 days and need a Business Visa, we will need the following:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  • Taiwan Visa Application Form – Please provide a completed visa application form; click here for a .pdf of the application.   • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide 2 (two) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  • A business letter of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Taiwan stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Taiwan you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses.   • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.
