For a U.S. citizen requesting a Pakistan Visa, we will need the following (if you are not a U.S. citizen, click here – VISA INFO to find the proper requirements):
Pakistan Tourist Visa Documents:
- Pakistan is not currently issuing tourist visas at this time.
Pakistan Business Visa Documents:
- U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
- Pakistan Visa Application Form – Please provide a completed visa application form; click here for a .pdf of the application. Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Pakistan Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website. The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
- Pakistan Business Visa Additional Form – the Pakistan Embassy also requires this additional form filled out completely – click here.
- Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
- Photographs – Please provide 4 (four) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
- A business letter of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Pakistan stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Pakistan you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses. - A letter of invitation from the business you are visiting in Pakistan.
- Proof of sufficient funds – a copy of your recent bank statement.
- Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

Passports and/or passport replacing documents must be valid on arrival.
Admission and Transit Restrictions:
- Admission refused to holders of emergency and temporary passports.
Visa required, except for Holders of a Pakistan Origin Card (POC) or a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis(NICOP), regardless of nationality, for an unlimited period of stay.
Visa Issuance:
- On arrival: if required, for a max. stay of 30 days, travelling for business purposes to nationals of U.S.A., provided:
a. arriving at Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar or Quetta airports; and
b. holding one of the following documents:

Additional Information:
- Visitors must hold tickets and documents required for their next destination. Exempt are holders of a Pakistan Origin Card (POC), holders of a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), holders of passports containing a “Visa exempt” stamp issued by Pakistan and passengers having dual nationality and using Pakistan passport;
- Those nationals whose stay in Pakistan exceeds 30 days must report to the Immigration Head Office for registration before the expiration of this 30 days’ period;
- exempt are holders of National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP); Warning:
- Non-compliance with the entry regulations will result in deportation of passengers.
Health Information:
Vaccination against Yellow Fever required if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with endemic areas or infected areas.
Exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination:
- Those not leaving the airport in the yellow fever infected countries.
- Transit passengers who continue their journey by same or connecting aircraft without leaving the airport.
-Children under 6 months if the mother’s vaccination certificate shows that she has been duly vaccinated prior to the birth of the child.
Recommended:
- Malaria prophylaxis. Malaria risk exists throughout the year in the whole country below 2000 m. Chloroquine and sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine-resistant P.falciparum reported.
