Please note that we have no affiliation with any government embassy or agency.

Nigeria Tourist Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  • Nigeria Visa Application Form – Please click here to access the online visa application form at the Nigerian Embassy website. Follow the instructions and please be sure to print out the payment receipt and the completed application.  The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport.
  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide 2 (two) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  • Letter of invitation from your host in Nigeria, or confirmed hotel reservations.
  • Proof of sufficient funds (either your latest bank statement or a letter from your bank).
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

Nigeria Business Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  • Nigeria Visa Application Form – Please click here to access the online visa application form at the Nigerian Embassy website. Follow the instructions and please be sure to print out the payment receipt and the completed application.  The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport.
  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide 2 (two) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  • A business letter of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Nigeria you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses.   • Invitation letter from the company you are visiting in Nigeria.
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

We ask that you send the documents listed above via FedEx or UPS so the delivery can be tracked. Please call us at 202-393-3030 to let us know that your documents have been sent.

Additional Information:

  • Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival.

Visa required, except for Former nationals of Nigeria holding valid foreign passport together with expired Nigerian passports.

Additional Information:

  • All visitors entering Nigeria, whether they need a visa or not, must hold onward or return tickets and all documents required for their next destination.

Warning:

  • All passengers who require a visa to enter Nigeria must obtain one prior to arrival. A penalty of USD 2,000.- will be imposed on any carrier delivering passengers without proper documents for Nigeria.

Health Information:

  • Vaccination required against Yellow Fever if coming from countries with infected areas.

Exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination:

  • Children under 1 year of age.
  • Transit passengers not leaving the airport in the infected countries concerned.

Recommended:

  • Malaria prophylaxis. Malaria risk – mainly in the malignant (P. falciparum) form – exists throughout the year in the whole country. Chloroquine and sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine-resistant P. falciparum reported.
