We can also file & process your application for you for a fee. However, you can also fill out and submit your application for free (excluding embassy fees), by visiting the Ghana Embassy website. Please note that we have no affiliation with any government embassy or agency.

Ghana Tourist Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport.  Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  • Ghana Visa Application Forms – Please provide 1 completed visa application form; click here for a .pdf of the application.  Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Ghana Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website.  The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields.  It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide a color, passport size photo.  The photograph must be printed on photo paper,  must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken not more than three (3) months from the date of submitting the application.
  • Evidence of financial support (bank statement) or a letter of invitation from your host in Ghana.
  • International Certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever.
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.
  • Application for persons under eighteen (18) years must be submitted together with the original birth certificate, with a letter of consent from the parent, and a copy of the parent’s photo ID.

Ghana Business Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport.  Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  • Ghana Visa Application Forms – Please provide 1 completed visa application form; click here for a .pdf of the application.  Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Ghana Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website.  The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields.  It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide a color, passport size photo.  The photograph must be printed on photo paper,  must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken not more than three (3) months from the date of submitting the application.
  • An application for a business visa shall be submitted together with a letter of invitation from the principals in Ghana and in U.S.A.
  • International Certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever.
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

  • Single Entry Visa (must be used within 3 months from date of issue): $60
  • Multiple Entry Visa: $100
  • Single Expedited Visa: $100
  • Multiple Visa Expedited: $200

Additional Information:

Travel Information

  • Passport required.  Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid on arrival.
  • Visa required, except for Holders of a dual Nationality Card issued by Ghana.
  • Visa Issuance:  Dual nationals of Ghana not holding a Dual Nationality Card.
  • Visitors are required to hold documents required for their next destination.
  • Warning:  Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.  Exempt are those traveling with/or to join diplomats accredited to Ghana: holding diplomatic passports, or holding (Gratis) visas.

Health Information

Vaccination against Yellow Fever required.

Exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination:

  • Children under 9 months of age.
  • Warning: Passengers leaving Ghana are rquired to present a yellow fever vaccination certificate upon departure.

Recommended:

  • Malaria prophylaxis.  Malaria risk – mainly in the malignant (P. falciparum) form – exists throughout the year in the whole country.  Resistance to chloroquine and sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine reported. Recommended prevention:IV.

Vaccinations:
