Egypt Tourist Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  • Egypt Visa Application Form – Please provide a completed visa application form; click here for a .pdf of the application. Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Egypt Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website. The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
  • Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  • Photographs – Please provide 2 (two) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  • Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

Egypt Business Visa Documents:

  • U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.

  • A business letter of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Egypt stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Egypt you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses. Additional Information:

Passport required.
– Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid at least 2 months beyond the period of intended stay.

Visa required, except for Wives of Egyptian nationals, provided holding proof thereof.
Visa Issuance:
– On arrival: if required, tourist visa can be issued on arrival, to nationals of U.S.A.,  for a max stay. of 30 days. Fee: USD 15.-, or equivalent.
– On arrival: if required, a tourist visa is issued for a max. stay of 15 days (free of charge) to those holding normal passports entering Egypt via South Sinai (through Sharm El Sheik, Saint Catherine or Taba airports), provided remaining in South Sinai resorts and not continuing to any other city in Egypt:

Health Information:

Vaccination against yellow fever required if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with infected areas, including the countries mentioned below.

In Africa: Angola, Benin (Rep.), Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Rep., Chad, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Kinshasa), Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan (south of 15 degrees N.), Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zambia.
In America: Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Suriname,
Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela.

Persons without valid yellow fever certificate, if required, are subject to quarantine.

Exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination:

– Children under 1 year.
– Transit passengers not leaving the airport and continuing their journey by the same aircraft.
Recommended:
– Very limited malaria risk, in the benign (P. vivax) form and the malignant (P. falciparum) form, from June to October in the El Faiyum area. No prophylaxis recommended.
