What you will need: 

  1. U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
  2. Egypt Visa Application Form – Please provide 3 (three) completed visa applications; Click Egypt-Tourist-visa-application for a .pdf of the application. Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Egypt Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website. The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
  3. Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
  4. Photographs – Please provide 2 (two) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  5. Please provide 2 (two) copies of your passport information page.
  6. Please provide 2 (two) copies of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.
  7. Please provide 2 (two) copies of  proof of legal stay or residence status (applicable to those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship). For example two notarized copies of your Green Card.

What you will need:

Please provide 2 (two), copies of business letters of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Egypt stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Egypt you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses. Click here to see a sample business letter.
  6. Please provide 2 (two) copies of your passport information page.
  7. Please provide 2 (two) copies of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.
  8. Please provide 2 (two) copies of proof of legal stay or residence status (applicable to those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship). For example two notarized copies of your Green Card.

Vaccination against yellow fever required if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with infected areas, including the countries mentioned below.

In Africa: Angola, Benin (Rep.), Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Rep., Chad, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Kinshasa), Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan (south of 15 degrees N.), Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zambia.
In America: Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Suriname,
Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela.

Persons without valid yellow fever certificate, if required, are subject to quarantine.

Exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination:

– Children under 1 year.
– Transit passengers not leaving the airport and continuing their journey by the same aircraft.
Recommended:
– Very limited malaria risk, in the benign (P. vivax) form and the malignant (P. falciparum) form, from June to October in the El Faiyum area. No prophylaxis recommended.

  • Passport required.
    – Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid at least 2 months beyond the period of intended stay.

    Visa required, except for Wives of Egyptian nationals, provided holding proof thereof.
