For a U.S. citizen requesting a Cameroon Visa, we will need the following (if you are not a U.S. citizen, click here – VISA INFO to find the proper requirements):
Cameroon Tourist Visa Documents:
- U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
- Cameroon Visa Application Forms – Please provide 2 (two) completed visa application form; click here for a .pdf of the application. Because the applications change on occasion, we’ve also provided a link to the Cameroon Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website. The application forms must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
- Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
- Photographs – Please provide 2 (two) color, passport size photos. The photographs must be printed on photo paper, must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and must have been taken in the last 6 months.
- Proof of sufficient financial funds (either your latest bank statement or a letter from your bank).
- Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.
- Copy of the vaccination certificate showing proof of yellow fever immunization. DO NOT send the original vaccination certificate.
Cameroon Business Visa Documents:
- U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.

- A business letter of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Cameroon stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Cameroon you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses. - Legalized letter of invitation/introduction from the company you are visiting in Cameroon.
- Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.
- Copy of the vaccination certificate showing proof of yellow fever immunization. DO NOT send the original vaccination certificate.

Additional Information:
- Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid on arrival.
Visa Issuance:
- On arrival: if required, to those holding a prior approval from Le Delegue General de L’Immigration .
Additional Information:
- All persons disembarking in Cameroon must hold confirmed onward or return tickets and other documents required for their next destination.
Warning:
- Non-compliance with entry requirements will result in deportation of the passenger and fines of between XAF 5,000.- and XAF 5,000,000.- for the carrier.
Health Information:
Required vaccination against: YELLOW FEVER
Exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination:
- Transit passengers not leaving the airport.
- Children under 1 year of age.
Recommended:
- Malaria prophylaxis. Malaria risk – mainly in the malignant (P. falciparum) form – exists throughout the year in the whole country. P. falciparum resistant to chloroquine and sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine reported. Recommended prevention: IV.
